It may also be provided by the client and is used to guide the initial research.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><h2 class=\"tabtitle\">Observation<\/h2>\n<div class=\"tabcontent\">\n\n<div class=\"arconix-column-two-thirds\">\n<h3>Observation<\/h3>\n<p>Observation is where an person or persons goes in to the business premises and watches how users interact with the present system. They will then takes notes on the system and usually produce an observation report. This report might include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Detailed description of the inputs, processes and outputs of the current system.<\/li>\n<li>Descriptions of how users interact with the current system<\/li>\n<li>Limitations and inefficiencies of the current system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Observation is often used before any interviews and questionnaires, as it often raises a number of questions that can be explored further in detail.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arconix-toggle-wrap\"><div class=\"arconix-toggle-title toggle-closed\"><i class='fa fa-plus-square'><\/i>Advantages<\/div><div class=\"arconix-toggle-content\">\n<div class=\"arconix-list\" data-arconix-icon=\"fa-chevron-circle-right\" data-arconix-color=\"black\">\n<ul>\n<li>Not a lot of preparation required, so can be done early on in a project.<\/li>\n<li>A rich and detailed picture of the current system can be gathered.<\/li>\n<li>Observations are relatively unbiased<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"arconix-toggle-wrap\"><div class=\"arconix-toggle-title toggle-closed\"><i class='fa fa-plus-square'><\/i>Disadvantages<\/div><div class=\"arconix-toggle-content\">\n<div class=\"arconix-list\" data-arconix-icon=\"fa-chevron-circle-right\" data-arconix-color=\"black\">\n<ul>\n<li>The quality and accuracy of information is highly dependent on the skill of the observer.<\/li>\n<li>People often act differently when observed, especially if they have strong positive\/negative opinions in a system change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"arconix-column-one-third\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1711\" src=\"https:\/\/learnlearn.uk\/igcseict\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/10\/observation.jpg\" alt=\"observation\" width=\"402\" height=\"301\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><h2 class=\"tabtitle\">Interviews<\/h2>\n<div class=\"tabcontent\">\n\n<div class=\"arconix-column-two-thirds\">\n<h3>Interviews<\/h3>\n<p>In depth interviews allows the research to ask a number of exploratory and investigatory questions, going in to a great deal of depth and detail about the specifics of the current system. sending letters to parents<\/li>\n<li>Management staff \u00c2\u00a0&#8211; looking at whole school performance and attendance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Stakeholders in the current system<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These are people who direct interact directly in the system, but are connected with the system in some way:<\/p>\n<div class=\"arconix-list\" data-arconix-icon=\"fa-chevron-circle-right\" data-arconix-color=\"black\">\n<ul>\n<li>Governers of the school &#8211;
