Advantages

Disadvantages
- Read access is very slow and the whole tape needs to be read regardless of where the data is stored
HDD Drives

Main Uses
- The standard storage used in most desktop and laptop computers
- Used for storage in general purpose servers
Advantages
- Quite fast read-write speeds
- Plenty of storage capaticity
Disadvantages
- Not as fast read-write speed as SSD
- Can be damaged if dropped as has a spinning platter
Zip Drives
Zip Drives
Storage Capacity: up to 750MB
Main Uses
- General data backup
- Zip drives are legacy devices that are no longer commonly used
Advantages
- Faster Read/write speeds that CD roms
Disadvantages
- Much more expensive than CDs per MB storage
- No longer widely used
